San Juan National Forest - Durango

This was a trip we took while living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Went north to see the Aspens turn color. They were awesome. The pictures are taken with an old digital camera, but you can still see how spectacular the scenery was. We camped out about halfway between Durango (stay away from Durango if you can - too stuck up) and Dolores (great town - nice people. Let my dog come into the library while the car was repaired!). Then went camping up the road to Telluride. As usual for Colorado, don't tell them you are from Texas. They hate Texans. They'll take your money, but treat you lousy. Seems it's your honor to visit their state. Oh well, we were from New Mexico at the time.
