Lincoln National Forest - Cloudcroft

Been camping around Cloudcroft several times. Mainly due to the fact that it is easy to get to from Central Texas and will get you out of the summer heat in Texas. The hiking is good, but the trails are pretty dusty. Lots of 4-wheeler and motorcycle activity has torn many of them up. You do have great views of the valley below, but there is no running water (stream or rivers) in the area.

So in summary:

Nice mountains.
Wish they had more running water.
We will be back.
